When the paint on the canvas is dry most artists perceive the work to be said and done. But just as our views and perception in life changes as we mature our perception of our past work changes and evolves with time.

I decided to push the painting into a photo realistic work by creating an environment with the twins in the water digitally.
Originating from a 22 x 30 watercolor painting (image below), I had created years ago entitled "Conformity".
Beginning with a high resolution picture of the painting, I digitally painted and manipulated it to achieve my desired concept.
In pushing an abstract idea into a literal representation, the original work is left unaltered while the new piece "Conformity Rising" is given birth from the concept evolved.
