"Bittersweet" Print for sale here!
Originating from a 8 x 11 watercolor painting (listed below) I created entitled "Sweet and Sour". I decided to push the painting into a photo realistic image by creating an environment under water with the bees & flies by building several painted and textured layers on top done digitally and hand drawn.
Beginning with a high resolution picture of the painting, I digitally painted and manipulated it to achieve my desired concept.
In pushing an abstract idea into a literal representation, the original work is left unaltered while the new piece "Bittersweet" is given birth from the concept evolved.
